In Response to Menstrualpoetry's Post on Shoutwire

Seeing as I can't figure out how to post a damned editorial, and this is my first submission, I linked to my blog. Admins, I hope this is ok, as its not listed in the guide lines. Anyways here ya go. This little video really, and I do mean REALLY pissed me off. First off, all men are not rapists, assholes, misogynists, or abusers. There are those of us who fight against it just as hard as the women do. I personally am a man that would kick the living shit out of a guy who was abusing a woman.

Like I said before, why should a man care? Men are expected to be violent and to be violently treated. It should be no different for a woman.

Lmao, so you're saying you just bend over like a little bitch because "it's life". Riiight, very "manly" of you. With that mentality of yours, you've already given up and are simply trying to avoid the abuse because you're tired of it. So in essence, you couldn't handle the abuse yourself.

Don't feel bad, however, many men think the same way because they simply wish to live their lives out without all the drama. It's not such a bad thing. Problem here is with this type of thinking, men become more and more programed by our culture and women that they are what they say they are, which end up being spineless cowards.

Now, instead of being shit-kicked, insulted, and treated like shit maybe we should do something about it? Eventually I know you're going to grow tired of being tired that you did nothing to change what needs to be changed. There needs to be a line drawn to how far either side can go and right now one side is drawing the line for us.

Pick up your balls Antikass and go cry yourself to sleep or stand up for something other than what "society" has labeled as normalcy.

Okay,I wasn't going to get into this one, but I'm going to say just this:

Because I am not a rapist, nor violent criminal towards anyone regardless of gender/etc. does indeed mean that it's not my problem. It sounds harsh I know, but you can't punish the populace (and yes I believe re-education to be punishment) because of the actions of the few.

What you CAN do is offer that same information in a less hostile way and accept that some people aren't going to give a flying fuck, because it's their choice either way.

Rape and sexual abuse IS YOUR problem. Statistically, 1 in 4 females will be raped or abused by age 18. 1 in 7 males by age 18. By stating that it is not your problem only makes you part of the problem.
