The basement of 4 World Trade Center housed vaults used to store gold and silver bullion. Published articles about precious metals recovered from the World Trade Center ruins in the aftermath of the attack mention less than $300 million worth of gold. All such reports appear to refer to a removal operation conducted in late October of 2001. On Nov. 1, Mayor Rudolph Giuliani announced that "more than $230 million" worth of gold and silver bars that had been stored in a bomb-proof vault had been recovered. A New York Times article contained: 1

Two Brinks trucks were at ground zero on Wednesday to start hauling away the $200 million in gold and silver that the Bank of Nova Scotia had stored in a vault under the trade center ... A team of 30 firefighters and police officers are helping to move the metals, a task that can be measured practically down to the flake but that has been rounded off at 379,036 ounces of gold and 29,942,619 ounces of silver ..

Another article gave a figure of $650 million to the value of gold in the 4 WTC vault.

Unknown to most people at the time, $650 million in gold and silver was being kept in a special vault four floors beneath Four World Trade Center. The gold and silver were recently recovered. 2

An article in the TimesOnline gives the following rundown of precious metals that were being stored in WTC vaults belonging to Comex. 3

Comex metals trading - 3,800 gold bars weighing 12 tonnes and worth more than $100 million
Comex clients - 800,000 ounces of gold with a value of about $220 million
Comex clients - 102 million ounces of silver, worth $430 million
Bank of Nova Scotia - $200 million of gold
The TimesOnline article is not clear as to whether the $200 million in gold reported by the Bank of Nova Scotia was part of the $220 million in gold held by Comex for clients. If so, the total is $750 million; otherwise $950 million.

There appear to be no reports of precious metals discovered between November of 2001 and the completion of excavation several months later. It would seem that at least the better part of a billion dollars worth of precious metals went missing. It is not plausible that whatever destroyed the towers vaporized gold and silver, which are dense, inert metals that are extremely unlikely to participate in chemical reactions with other materials.

An article in The Sierra Times suggests that gold was recovered from two trucks in a tunnel under 5 World Trade Center, giving rise to suspicions that the trucks were being used to remove the gold from the vaults before the South Tower fell. 4 However, this report may have been based on an erroneous reading of other reports that describe the removal of crushed vehicles from a tunnel under 5 WTC in order to gain access to the vaults under 4 WTC to remove their contents. 5

ORRR blame it on Muslims, they might have stolen it... some how.. we just dont know yet.. RICE?

I'm just itching to know more about this shit and everyone just thinks we are conspiracy theorists. There is some mysterious shit going down and even with the free flowing internet, we still don't have access.

Hell yeah there are some interesting things going on here. It seems to me that all the way around the world at the moment there are some interesting things going on.

but if September 11 was the work of terrorists, and everything that is listed in the 911 commission report was true, then why are there so many questions that continue to go unanswered and why are leaders fumbling around when asked the same questions that they have been asked (and answered) so many times before?

it seems to even the lowest IQ half wit, that something is not right here. In the last several months, i have looked extensively into some of the theories that have been portrayed on (this) and other websites and come to a rather intriguing conclusion.

Seriously: there was a press conference a couple of weeks ago where Donald Rumsfeld came out and said that flight 77 was shot down over Pennsylvania. If it was just one mistake, IE: it was the first and only time that it happened then you would ignore it and assume it was simply a mistake.
But what are we to do when we see hard copy evidence being either retracted, deleted, silenced or otherwise? I mean in a non-jovial kind of way; what the hell is the real the truth?

Does that also imply that the remainder of the world's intelligence agencies all believe what the CIA, NSA and FBI's records show? Come on seriously you cant expect me to swallow that tripe...

The CIA and Co. 'could not organise a root in a brothel' people. They have been outright wrong on so many occasions with information, how can you base any form of theory, let alone blaming Usama Bin Laden the day after the attacks???

We the people are being fed bullshit day after day after day, When does it end? Has the time really come that we all need to take a long hard look at 'Democracy' and decide that it - our best solution - is not really working? then what?

The whole idea, the meaning of democracy has already been lost guys.... It went down the toilet years ago. So what the hell are we really fighting for? do we want it back? or are we just following orders that have been barked down a secure phone line from some shiny brassed vacuous, mental detective's idealistic viewpoint?

Democracy these days is 'based on a true story.' It has all the bells and whistles, without the most important element. A government's role is meant to be for the good of society; elected by society. Instead all i see are a bunch of corrupt hypocrites pedaling a nations wealth for their own selfish purpose.

All over the world. again and again.... Who draws the line? Where do we draw it? Why are we all scared of the governments that we elect, is it not their job to work for us?
