Canon in D Major might make a nice addition to your list - Johann Pachelbel.....

Definitely scope for a follow up here...

Good listing though.

I think some people have misread the word "piano" in the title. Or completely ignored it. Canon in D? Classical piano? Really?

It may not be only piano but my favourite classical tune would have to be Saint Saens Danse Macabre. Its very dark and light as is the story behind it. Well the one i have heard so far is; The Death skeleton figure playing the Violin awakening the dead from their graves on Halloween and the skeletons all dance until the cock crows and the return to their slumber for another year until its Halloween again.

Uh, yeah. Every two-bit attempted pianist has played some variations of Canon in D.

It is sometimes fun to come up with your own variations.

Jesper Kyd's Ave Maria, The Devil's Thrill, Canon (orchestra), most of Mozart and Bach. No, not all of them are pieces related to the topic you piano whores.

FidoQuick Take On The RNC
Being an open minded individual, I decided to spend a couple hours watching the Republican national convention in St Paul, or Minneapolis, Minnesota, or wherever it is. I had initially tuned in to watch Sarah Palin’s address, in order to maybe get a read on what she may be all about. I regret that I couldn’t get that far. After viewing Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee and Rudy Giuliani speak to the delegates, I felt an overwhelming need to seek asylum in another country. ...
