"How come the top people in most buisness's are so out of touch with the people they provide their service to."

This has been the #1 problem since Tubearoo bought ShoutWire. You summed it up in one fucking sentence.

i do admit when i hover over my history bar and think about clicking shoutwire i get a vision of an experience clusterd the fuck up with ads and a slow ass time reading the articles and commenting on them from all the fucking redirects and bullshit.

dont make your website require more effort to enjoy than digg or the others, because people will start forgetting about you. i dont buy that line that shoutwire isnt making money one bit, telling your customers things like that is the oldest trick in the book.

@ r4mcok,
Your comment follows what is known as the "slippery-slope" argument. That is if one thing happens, the next thing you know something worse happens. It's like if the gov't legalized marijuana, critics would say "the next thing you know, we'll legalize cocaine" or some shit like that. The point to take home is that it's not always necessarily true.

What's funny is that, what? That "two-ad" essay was going to be the sparkplug for some internet rEVOLution? I was never going to read it. Who has the time? But an article about censorship...

On a related note, I'm reading this at work, while I'm waiting for some documents to convert to pdf. Except, I'm so used to closing pop-ups that as soon as my documents are done, I just close by reflex, and have to start all over again. Three times!

The first step in dealing with road rage is admitting you have road rage.

It's bullshit that they'd delete the article because it's critical. Learn how to take criticism; it'll make the site better.

However, SW's gone so far down I don't think it can recover.

The redirects bother me more than the advertising. Censoring dissent towards the site is unacceptable however.
Only narrow minded people refuse to listen to the voice of opposition.

There's nothing to say anymore. I'm on browser number 3 now, just to comment. If articles are getting deleted, this site might as well be digg, so wtf are we bothering with it for?

To be "brutally honest", I couldn't give a shit less. I want decent editorials back. I want Zero's stupid best/worst 8 3/4 lists back.

Mostly I just want to cut my losses and see how far it goes and when it's finally too far, find a new site.

FidoPolitical Prestidigitation
Roughly sixty Days from today, American voters will go to the polls to select a new President. Issues of health care, security and an unpopular war weigh heavily on the minds of US citizens.Or, do they? Several days ago, Barack Obama delivered a bombastic acceptance speech delineating the brave new course his administration would undertake. The logistics of which seemed to get lost in the rhetoric. But, it was inspiring none the less. The Democratic party was united...

BebichanInterview With Westboro Baptist Church!!!
This interview was compiled by myself and the great Nodnarb232001. Questions were selected from suggestions made by our great, dedicated, Shoutwire users, as well as a couple of our own suggestions!Nodnarb232001- Yep, and now we would like to ask Shirley Phelps-Roper old Freddy Phelps himself, and anyone from their congregation to come here defend their views from some of our users' unholy "persecution". We need to be reminded of just why we're going to hell.Just cl...
