January 20, 2009. Barack Obama is sworn in as the 44th President of the United States. In a moving speech, President Obama promises a “New Day for America“.
January 21, 2009. Global communications are decimated as a great majority of orbiting telecom satellites have apparently ceased to operate. Cable, cellular and land line communications within the Middle East, parts of Africa, South America and Asia have gone down as well. NASA, in agreement with Russian and Chinese space agencies has come to blame irregular solar activity for the malaise.
January 22, 2009, 8am CST. Sketchy HAM radio communications indicate, within Iran, the city of Tehran and outlying locations may have fallen victim to a series of catastrophic nuclear accidents.
January 22, 2009, 10am CST. Hand written and eyewitness accounts indicate a mass, synchronized terrorist action claiming the assassination of Saudi Arabia’s entire royal family. Unconfirmed reports indicate Al Qaeda may also be responsible for similar actions in Venezuela, Pakistan and several African nations.
January 22, 2009 12pm CST. President Obama issued a press release promising the complete support of the American people in dealing with the Iran tragedy. At the same time, offering that he had known the state of Iran’s nuclear development, the US would eagerly have contributed to the installation of proper safety measures to avert such a horrendous event. Official condolences are being sent to the families of the late President Ahmandinejad and the Ayatollah. President Obama will address the nation at 8pm CST.
January 22, 2009 8pm CST. Addressing the nation and all peoples of the world within the range of existing communications, a misty eyed, but resolute President Obama declared the “onus is upon us” to join with the UN and the leading nations of the world in resolving the calamitous events that have unfolded in these previous hours.
Obama acknowledged the nuclear disaster in Iran as well as the conditions of anarchy and assassination that have befallen other oil producing and war torn nations across the globe. He is said to be in constant communication with prominent member nations of the EU as well as the leaders of Canada, Russia and China. An emergency meeting of the UN security council has been set for tomorrow. President Obama had gone on to say: “At no other time in our great nation’s history will the strength and honor of the American people be so sorely relied upon.” He affirmed the capable military power of the United States, but allowed: “We can’t do this alone.” and beseeched all world leaders to join in restoring normalcy to afflicted nations.
January 23, 2009 1pm CST. Following a closed meeting of the UN security council, it has been announced, 5 million emergency UN peace keeping forces have been dispatched to portions of the Mid East, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Venezuela, and several other African and South American countries. Troops and armaments are reported to already be in transit or on the ground and actively involved in maintaining order.
The forces are primarily made up of US, Russian and Chinese militia and have been designated to specific regions based on proximity.
Leaving the meeting, President Obama declined comment to defer to an upcoming address. However, Dmitry Medvedev, the current Russian president took questions. When asked how such a large force could be amassed and dispatched so quickly without anticipation of any of these catastrophes, Medvedev, hiding a curious smile, said: “In Russia, We anticipate everything.”
January 23, 2009 8pm CST. President Obama addressed the US House of Representatives: “My friends, colleagues and fellow
Americans, today is the dawn of a new world. With the necessary cooperation of our trusted allies in peace, the great nations of this world have set aside small differences to act in the interests of all mankind.
Our world has too long been in turmoil. Despots and Tyrants have too long held humanity hostage. Terrorism has too long spread fear and misery. In light of the recent horrors that have come upon our human brethren, there is no choice but to act. To act surgically and purposefully. In conjunction with NATO, we have accepted this challenge. It is our joint ambition to share a proper standard of existence with an ever growing world population. This is not a simple task, there will be pitfalls, but as in the spirit of America, as one falters, another will lift them up to carry on.
I ask that We, as Americans, transcend differences of race, religion and ethnicity to participate in this monumental endeavor. The time has come….. The course the United States and our NATO partners have undertaken is unprecedented in modern times. It is our utmost intention to see this mission through to an equally unprecedented prosperity.”
Obama went on to bemoan the recent failures of electronic communication in besieged areas. The President assures, top technicians, the world over are working tirelessly to re-establish satellite hookups lost amidst unusual solar flares. Although, no timetable for completion is yet available.
In addition to the millions of soldiers presently deployed, President Obama indicated an equally large force is presently being assembled by EU member nations and Canada to provide additional peace keeping support.
In closing, the President added: “I wish to thank the people of the United States for the tremendous responsibility allowed me as your newly elected leader. For the faith in my ability to lead us through these pressing historic times. A faith, I promise you, that will never be, misplaced.”
January 24, 2009. A smattering of pirate communications have indicated the cause of the Iran disaster was in fact a strike by as yet unidentified nuclear missiles. Other communiqués report CIA and KGB hit squads to be responsible for the orchestrated deaths of dozens of world leaders. A high level state department spokesman called the accusations, “ridiculous” and complete fabrications worthy of “Tin Foil Hat” conspiracy, “whackos“. No further transmissions have been forthcoming and attempts to trace the sources have been unsuccessful.
