if there is life on other planets why does it need to be like earth and have air to sustain life we keep conparing it to us because we are the only example to life but that doesnt mean it has to be that way

I doubt Greer is intentionally trying to mislead people of the significance of the signal.

I did an extensive study of the SETI@home program and how it uses distributive computing for a paper a year or two ago in college, and the "significance" of a signal is far from cut-and-dried. What they actually look for are radio signals called Gaussians, that are significant because the geometry of the signal waveform is the most suggestive of 1. an artificial source and 2. an extraterrestrial source. But contrary to some of what I'm hearing is the common conception, it's not just "up in the air" as to whether or not a signal is terrestrial or ET, it is quite easily determinable based on the character of the signal.

Another determining factor is the intensity because often times terrestrial signals can be reflected off of local astronomical bodies or even artificial satellites of our own, but these are typically pretty weak. There IS credible evidence that we've detected at least a few signals over the years that are candidates for true ET origin, but we're talking over the past 30 years, not just all of the sudden in the past 5 since Greer has been pushing for his UFO program. You can look it up yourselves, and its been news in the SETI community for 30 years, so it has nothing to do with Greer. It was known as the "WOW" signal because it was an extremely textbook case for what we expect to find from an ET signal. Unfortunately, subsequent attempts to relocate the source for the past 25-30 years have gone bust - that's the one failing of the WOW signal.

From what I understand, and I haven't looked into the SETI@home statistics in awhile, but there have been at least a handful of other, very promising-looking signals from SETI but I don't see why anyone sees it necessary to judge the validity of the claim on the same basis as Greer's objectiveness. Of course he's not objective, he leads a damn UFO-ET enthusiast group, but the claims that we've detected valid signals from SETI have been made LONG before Greer has come onto the UFO stage in 2001. The validity of those claims should be judged based on the signal, by PROFESSIONALS, not a bunch of people criticizing Greer... His credentials have nothing to do with the signals.

Science and spiritual science both beleive that there is many dimensions vibrating at different harmonic frequency. It is very possible (according to many scientifics) that to travel over light speed, one must travel through another dimension (change the vibrating frequency of the matter) wich of course is much smaller as it is an higher harmonic ("partials") and then return to our normal physical dimension.

In the same way FM radio works (FM = Frequency modulation), matter's frequency is modulated to another dimention wich they currently say is "anti-matter". (forgive my spelling mistakes)

People close to me - close relatives - told me they had alien encounters in the north east of Canada... Im still not sure what to think becose its prety hard to acknoledge without any proof, but I certainly beleive that it is truely possible.

The universe is limitless and we are far from knowing how it all works out.
