Former British Ambassador to Uzbekistan Craig Murray says the alleged transatlantic liquid bomb plot is staged-managed propaganda on behalf of Bush and Blair - who yearn for a "new 9/11" to absolve them of domestic political trouble.

I was pretty sure this was coming, Though I'm again confused. There was no plot, just a fantasy provided by torture. No one had tickets and only a few had passports.

The CIA fronted group that wasn't plotting was to be allowed to proceed with the plot that wasn't a plot, using liquid bombs that don't exist.

aargh, bring that water to a boil, I'm almost ready to jump in.

I knew that was the case from day one.. if the united states of america is willing to murder 5000+ innocent people in cold fucken blood; and blame it on international terrorism (that doesn't even exist).. why wouldn't they try to cover their asses for some time to come? "Terror Alerts" and all that shit; I guarntee that CNN has their color "terror alerts" by direction from the US government to scare more people into submission.. Same Shit. Different Pile.

Here is my favourite saying about the current "times".. Quoted almost 10 years ago by my boys in NOFX...

"And so we go, on with our lives
We know the truth, but prefer lies
Lies are simple, simple is bliss.

Why go against tradition when we can?
Admit defeat, live in decline
Be the victim of our own design
The status quo, built on suspect
Why would anyone stick out their neck?"

The minute I heard about this I knew it was a manufactured excuse to keep the terror alive, Especially after the United Airlines flight reported an unruly passenger forcing the plane to divert with a fighter escort (although what that would seriously do if the plane exploded mid air apart from destroy 2 very expensive F16's as well is unclear). Then we have the scenes of the baggage being laid out on the runway (on US soil for US viewers) to convince the american public that they are under threat.

Seriously think about it if you were determined to hijack an airliner even with the restrictions on hand baggage they still give you all the tools on the plane. It has more to do with force of will than expertise in explosives or munitions.

1. They still hand out meals with plastic cutlery
Either the tray or cutlery could be snapped to effect a stabbing weapon.

2. They still hand out drinks hot enough to scald
Very few flight attendants would fight back with a face full of hot coffee

3. Food and drink trolleys
Need a battering ram to get into the cockpit

4.Clear plastic bags for hand luggage
Pull one tight over a pilots head and watch them comply

The above discounts the fact that you can easily obtain and secrete non ferrous weapons on your person i.e. ceramic knife (sharper in most cases than a metal one) taped to the inside of your upper arm (an area seldom checked during a pat down)

Now also consider that as a non malicious passenger by being treated with the same suspicion as a terrorist you are made weaker by the security measures.

1. Keys
Ideal stabbing weapon

2. Mobile phone/iPod
Cupped in the hand will deliver a deadly blow to the jugular

3. Video camera
Might be worth £1000, but is a very useful knuckleduster or club in an emergency.

4. Headphone lead/mains lead for any electrical appliance
Very effective garotte.

All they are doing is further frightening the public in the first place and then making us better victims the next time some filthy lurker does get it into their head to commit a terrorist act.

^^Wow, I wonder if they'll let me on the plane dressed like a Hockey Goalie. I'll check the stick and the skates. Or better yet could flight attendants and pilots function in similar gear?

btw, nice NOFX quote @gavinmacrae

The best thing we could all do is boycott flying for a month on the grounds its just not safe, then watch the government do a U turn as they come under pressure from cash starved airlines.

quincy0191Fuck You, Norton Antivirus
I’ve been having problems with Norton Antivirus for the past few weeks, mainly relating to an issue with the ccSvcHst.exe file, which has a tendency to eat one’s entire CPU on occasion, and for little reason. The LiveUpdate feature has some influence here; if it’s not run for an extended period, and when it is run and for a short time after, it causes ccSvcHst.exe to take up 80-100% of the processor’s capacity. This is a well-documented issue online, as a quick Goog...

quincy0191It's Gettin' Hot in Herre
Pretty much everyone’s heard about the evil/saintly hacker who stole/liberated thousands of emails from a server at the University of East Anglia in England. Most publicized is the use of the word “trick” by one of the scientists when referring to climate data that did not indicate warming; essentially, the individual wished to hide the fact that there was no warming during a given period, via “creative statistics” (my term, not theirs).Plenty of climate change skep...
