Nothing comes from nothing. Nothing ever could. - It seems the toughest thing for scientists to grasp - that a cherished paradigm like the big bang can be wrong....

Upon first glance I was mighty skeptical, but after forcing myself to read the whole thing at least for the sake of my own integrity, and the need to defend my field of study (Yes, I do study astrophysics at a higher degree level), the article does raise some interesting, if slightly wrong, concepts.

Some of these are farfetched, and even disproved by current theoretical evidence (disproving CMB? I think not); the author seems to make the mistake of trying to pile a great many theories into a single article. A few paragraphs seem to explain current theory without it having relevance to the rest of the article, so I think some clarification is required. Unfortunately this is the downfall of it as a whole, because I can't help but feel more skeptical of the one vaguely plausable theory; the concept of a greater galactic electrical gravitational force.

Credibility is everything, this man could be some underground genius, or a crazy man with too much free time. Generally speaking, most of the claims in this article are illogical, and seem to call upon laws that were created simply for the purpose of supporting these claims, without any actual evidence, supporting data or supplimentary articles.

Congrats on reading the whole article! + for you....This man has brought something else to the table for you hasn't he? Something worth looking further into. He may seem a little over exited but he forces you to rethink with or without supporting data. Sometimes it takes an "illogical" claim here and there. - Check out his web site. You might find a few little interesting bits. - zap

Yeah, he does bring new ideas to the table, but it doesn't do them any good to be bundled together like this, particularly if one or more of them is false, and doesn't make sense according to existing science which we have solid proof of. I'm not just speculating here, a certain number of the ideas mentioned there simply don't have scientific proof, which to any scientist, makes them about as good as the claims of a crazed lunatic at a bus stop.

It bothers me that it's entirely likely people read articles like these and decide that well known scientific theories are so easily disputed.

yeah, i really agree with this - it's one reason why creationists keep insisting "there is no evidence for macro-evolution" because they've read it somewhere on some website, when there is actually mountains of evidence to support macro-evolution. But because the website they read supports their own beliefs, they're more ready to listen to it and spout the same shite themselves.

That's because Newton is wrong. Newton's definition of gravity is wrong, most people's idea of gravity is wrong. Kepler has it right... the force of attraction is merely a side effect of gravitation, not the actual force. The force is an orderly force of organization, as Kepler discovered. I haven't had a chance to read it yet, but I intend to read Kepler's The Harmonies of the World when I get some free time...

Of course newton is wrong about most of gravity. Yes, most of, not all. We still use newtonian physical principles for things like binary systems, because they do work. Kepler's laws apply better to complex systems; for example, the relation between orbital velocity of an object and the amount of mass contained within that orbit.

Even this law however, fails to work perfectly when it comes to predicting the orbital velocity of objects within our very own galaxy, let alone others. This is one of the greatest pieces of evidence for dark matter; a kindof matter that we can't observe directly, but we know is there because of the gravitational effects.

I want to know how Gauss calculated the orbit of that asteroid in one month. He never told anyone how he did it...

My point really is that gravity is an extradimensional force of organization emitting from a higher dimension. Maybe dark matter explains galactic motion, maybe other forces are at play. Maybe we should take another look at classical science, like Kepler and Gauss, specifically how they made their discoveries and how we can model them and make our own.

Blindly stating hypothesis after hypothesis and only looking at "data" seems to me like an attempt to get a monkey or a computer program to make a scientific "discovery"... it's like throwing darts in the dark. Wrong ideologies are clung to even today even as evidence continues to pile up against them, scientists try to make tweaks and adjustments to the wrong theories in order to attempt to explain away evidence to the contrary (global warming for example). Perhaps one of our problems is the scientific method itself, and that should be looked at as well.

I love this stuff, just watched the two part doco about Stephen Hawkins : "Stephen Hawking and The Theory of Everything". Superstring theory, the 11 dimenions, etc and all very easy to understand for the layman.

When I read this article I see the signs of creationism and conspiracy theories
- The relentless pursuit of wrongly interpeting facts and rumors to fit a preconceived conclusion
- Deep mistrust of the experts, the concept of knowledge and the scientific method
- The naive conclusion that anyone can get the bigger picture on their own from the comfort of their arm chair (without any education)
