@Mithrandir

yeah, there was alot of otherstuff that I didn't bother putting in. I left the balfour Declaration out as the British did not really follow through with it. In 1917 The British declared that Palestine would be a home to the Jews, but then proeeded to place sever restrictions on their immigration. Not only that, they facilitated the illegal immigration of arabs from neighbouring countries into palestine. The British made no efforts to track or control the arabic immigration and even went so far as to request the French to stop patrolling the borders of Syria.

Of course I've left information out, the article was getting too big anyway.

Using Hegel's "Synthesis" as your moniker, I find it dissapointing that you would try to simplify these events under the universal guise of 'the pursuit of happiness'. It is a shame, I was hoping for something a little more thought provoking. Also, your subtle negative comments regarding the Arabs is untrue. You are probably a young person and as such I forgive your presumptions; however, I do suggest that you try to question your own education on the topic. Your exposure to this issue is biased and will be biased (Islamic information will be biased as well as Western) until you yourself understand what is right and for what reasons. I do not have the arrogance to believe that I have the answers or that one side is greater that the other. However, I like to think that I have the humanity to see the injustices on both sides.

Having said all that, I do commend you in trying to understand this as a humanitarian.

How do you find it disappointing? Do you deny that people will act as people do, and seek to better their lot in life? I am simply trying to illuminate some realities of Palestine in its early years. I have placed no negative comments regarding the Arabs, rather I have simply expounded on the base motivations of all people.

"However, I like to think that I have the humanity to see the injustices on both sides."

This is the typical focus that everyone looks at when considering the mid east conflict. No attention or consideration is ever placed on the basic human movements that led to the 'human injustices'. The Arab population explosion and mass immigration into Palestine was a direct result of the British and Jewish push to create a prosperous and developed Palestine. Does the fact that the existence of so many Palestinians is simply a result of that prosperity mean anything? Or are we constantly going to playing the game of who is right forever?

I don't presume to place blame on either side. As my article tries to illuminate, I believe that people will do whatever they can to achieve a better life for themselves. But what I don't believe in is the west's fascination with trying to discern who is 'right' and who is 'wrong' as if the world actually exists in moral absolutes, while wilfully ignoring much of the realities of growth and immigration. The world isn't endless and people need space. Right and wrong do not matter for someone without land. The world is a giant game of musical chairs, what would you be willing to do when the music stops?

I'll put this question to Shoutwire then.

The west believes by and large in democracy. That all people have equal right to the determination of the country they live within. Does this mean that cultures and races with the highest growth rates essentially have the right to determine the future of the nation they live within once they are the majority?

I wouldn't say the people who have the highest growth rates would be the ones to determine the future, but the ones who share the most common ideals. Those people could be from several groups of different growth rates.

quincy0191Fuck You, Norton Antivirus
I’ve been having problems with Norton Antivirus for the past few weeks, mainly relating to an issue with the ccSvcHst.exe file, which has a tendency to eat one’s entire CPU on occasion, and for little reason. The LiveUpdate feature has some influence here; if it’s not run for an extended period, and when it is run and for a short time after, it causes ccSvcHst.exe to take up 80-100% of the processor’s capacity. This is a well-documented issue online, as a quick Goog...

nodnarb232001Bioshock 2- A First Look
Bioshock was one of the most awesome games on the Xbox 360/PC/PS3 (I'll be focusing on the 360 version). Set in a dystopian underwater city created and ruled by uber-zealous free market capitalist magnate Andrew Ryan the citizens of Rapture took a liking to the gene modification craze known as Splicing. Better looks? Different hair color? Ability to shoot lightning? Splicing's got your back. Powered by a material harvested from sea slugs known as Adam, splicing pav...
