I'm not for keeping marijuana illegal, however, proponents of the stuff point to all this anecdotal evidence to try to say that weed is a cure-all.

It's the like snake-oil theory, except it's not some guy pushing it down everyone's throats, it's everyone saying it's got great magical cures, so we need to legalize it.

The methodology is fucked up. You want to legalize it, refer to the established papers that show it IS a good thing (THC stimulates neuronal growth).

Because if you sit here and point to anecdotal evidence (which means nothing to the scientific community, so they won't verify it), you're wasting your time, and you're doing little to educate people about marijuana.

Unless you have an expert backing you up, you're always gonna be faced with people who think all marijuana users are like the 10 stoners they know that have no life.

Also...weed just gave him the munchies.

Anecdotal evidence LEADS to further research, though, that's the whole point you moron.

Also, the only solid arguments that the antis have ARE anecdotal!!!!

Wow....yea no shit sherlock.

For someone going through chemotherapy getting the munchies is a LIFE SAVER.

My mom went through it and she couldn't hold a single bite of food down while going through the chemo. She was under my care, and getting her stoned either saved her life or made her suffering a little bit more bearable.

I don't need scientific proof, especially when governments put so much effort in to road blocking medical research for "drugs". l2LSD & Cluster Headaches.

So in short, kindly fuck off.

Are you telling ME to fuck off?

1.) If you read my post, you'd see how I was actually advocating weed's legalization. I was simply saying how trying to tie weed as a cure-all just makes your argument look foolish, and will never grant you any headway toward legalizing it.

2.) Weed gives a normal person the munchies. It also reduces nausea. The main reason chemo patients can't hold down food or simply won't eat is their nausea. "Munchies" has little to do with it.

Go eat my ass, moron. If you've got nausea too, go smoke a bowl before you do it.

Chemo patients lose their appetites for several reasons. Mouth sores, acid reflux, diarrhea, a loopy digestive tract.

Munchies has EVERYTHING to do with it. Not only that but also the pain suppressing effects enabled her to eat. That compounded with the heightened appetite is key to the whole treatment using marijuana.

Forgive me for my earlier outburst, but this is a touchy topic for me seeing as how our government claims it has ZERO medical value, and continues to prosecute terminally ill patients while they're growing cannabis for a TINY select group for medical use.

We've thrown all the SCIENTIFIC PROOF at the government over and over and over and over again. Hell Obama came in promising legislation would be based on sound science, but you can obviously see how that dumb mother fucker is following through on that statement. BY LAUGHING AT US ON LIVE TV. Fucking cokehead.

But to be honest, anecdotal evidence such as the above would have a more emotional effect when convincing people.

Lets end this before I degrade in to a rant about how fucked up our country is because of the government. lol

quincy0191Fuck You, Norton Antivirus
I’ve been having problems with Norton Antivirus for the past few weeks, mainly relating to an issue with the ccSvcHst.exe file, which has a tendency to eat one’s entire CPU on occasion, and for little reason. The LiveUpdate feature has some influence here; if it’s not run for an extended period, and when it is run and for a short time after, it causes ccSvcHst.exe to take up 80-100% of the processor’s capacity. This is a well-documented issue online, as a quick Goog...

quincy0191It's Gettin' Hot in Herre
Pretty much everyone’s heard about the evil/saintly hacker who stole/liberated thousands of emails from a server at the University of East Anglia in England. Most publicized is the use of the word “trick” by one of the scientists when referring to climate data that did not indicate warming; essentially, the individual wished to hide the fact that there was no warming during a given period, via “creative statistics” (my term, not theirs).Plenty of climate change skep...
