The ignorance of these comments is astounding. I've been to GayDays at Disney World, twice, and just made my reservations to go a third time. I've never even seen so much as two guys making out (which would, of course, be perfectly fine). The most extreme behaviour I've ever witnessed there is people of the same sex holding hands, and that's something that children need to be exposed to a lot more. "LiberalsSuck" says that it does not matter to the attendees that other people will be uncomfortable, and in that he is totally correct. Why should any intelligent, rational person cater to anyone else's bigotry and hatred? Should black people stay off public transportation because some people don't like them? I also get a kick out of Omega's comment "Should 'Gay Day' have been given a week at disney when others didn't?" There seems to be a wide-spread misperception that Disney has something to do with GayDay at Disney. It doesn't. The park is open to the general public that day. Gays do not "rent out the park." Just for the record, GayDay is one day. That's it. The first Saturday of June. Further, Disney has never done anything to give us anything. We just network and plan to show up on that day. Disney doesn't give us a discount, they don't promote that day, they don't include us in their advertising, etc. If your bowling league decided to call all the other bowling leagues in North America and tell them to show up at Disney World on the same day, it would have exactly the same effect (except that you probably wouldn't be drawing the crazies out of the woodwork to protest the way that the gays do). I could go on and on but there are too many ignorant comments to respond to all of them. I hope I've shed a lil light on this awesome day at the park.
