The United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) can be considered a terrorist organization according to both international and American definitions of terrorism. Since September 2001, U.S. President George W. Bush announced that he would use all his resources to fight terrorist organizations and declared a war on terror, which he legally cannot do, since according to the United States Constitution only the Congress can declare war, and it must be declared on a specific source

I'm sure a lot of other organizations in the world do unsavory stuff but not at the same level as the CIA does it. Its a terrorist organization plain and simple regardless of all the white wash. The list of crimes is incredible yet the majority of the public knows nothing, there's a reason why American education systems suck and that's to keep the masses ignorant of what goes around them.

I won't be bothering to name all the countries where assassinations, many many failed and successful coup d'etat on democratically elected governments have taken place. To put it in simple terms if you hear about some turmoil in some part of the world the US through the CIA and other mediums probably had a hand in something. Not saying that everything is their fault but a great deal of it is. They take out elected governments due to the official's actions hurting American business yet those actions are mandated by their people.

All of these things are true, since there's proof all over the place but most Americans don't know this and would never believe it to be true even if proof was put in front of their noses. Its one thing to know and not care and there's nothing wrong with that but to claim the moral high ground on issues due to sheer stupidity and ignorance should never be done.

Will all that out of the way I'm liking the current condition of the world more and more. Global climate issues, some wars though nothing great. Seeing how hard the US has been struggling lately to keep their position as the world's leader I know more wars are yet to come, and they must if they don't want their money from losing the value it doesn't really posses. Who owns America? I have no idea, do you?.

The KGB, MI5 and 6, DGSE (Rainbow Warrior!) are just as bad.

Any country needs a secret service, that's a gouvernemt's perogative. It's just that a gouvernment's attitude seems to be amplified through it's 'intelligence' agency. For example, I can't see the Etterretningstjenesten (Norway) involved in wet jobs or revolutions.

Looking at all the evil and suffering in the world, I think we should try to limit our scope to eliminating our own suffering and the suffering of those close to us first, and those evils that have the most negative impact on us first. The CIA is way down on that list. Realistically, it would probably be easier to end world hunger than to get rid of the CIA, or live as a world super-power without a similar organization.

Which is a nice way of rephrasing Tom Yorke when he wrote, "Big fish eat the little ones. Not my problem, give me some."

By the same logic this article states.

Every other intelligence service in the world is a terrorist organization.

As much as you guys hate america...one of the thinks i love about the country is it's corruption comes to the sunlight very easily to dry out and die for the world to see.

Unfortunately the same can not be said for the rest of the world. Really am interested in the sekrit skeletons in the closets you got in there.

@NutmanIV, that is quite true my friend. As bad as guys like Mossad or the CIA can be, people either don't know or forget about guys like the old NKVD, the Gestapo, the KGB and just about every other dictator's handy little "intelligence and security" agency.
