Ron Paul last night spoke out for Americans last night when he stood up against the use of "pre-emptive" strikes of any kind. While CNN claims that all Republican Candidates backed a pre-emptive nuclear strike on Iran one man stood out. NYCTV is now proud to endorse the candidacy of Senator Ron Paul for President.

This was a great debate. Ron was the only guy up there who was direct and succinct in his answers. The rest looked like posturing fools, constantly interjecting and trying to get a word it. Did anyone notice how many of the candidates ignored the questions they were asked and instead kept going back to a previous question that wasn't even asked of them? The sit down session was especially funny, almost all of them kept getting up and walking into the middle of the stage. WTF did they think it was a musical? haha Sit down and answer the question and stop blowing half your time talking about that poor woman's dead relative.

Even with the obvious attempts to silence him, he manages to come out looking better than the rest of the panel. Amazing.

I didn't time it or anything, but I think it could be argued that Paul was allowed less speaking time during the debate than any other candidate.

The man understands the basics of the Republic. If we were based more in our roots we would not be out there as an empire building other nations outside our own. It is even sadder to see our rights and liberties curtailed to "protect" us from those we have inflicted injury and harm to. All we need to do is stand independent as Americans and stop defending corporation plunder.

The ONLY thing I can't get behind Ron Paul on is that he wants to completely remove welfare and medicare.

He said that he believes the hospitals can regulate themselves and US citizens don't need medicare. Yea sorry, the hospital administrators are money grubbing assholes.

"I didn't time it or anything, but I think it could be argued that Paul was allowed less speaking time during the debate than any other candidate. "

Top 3 by time:
McCain 12:44, Giuliani 12:35, Romney 11:04

Bottom 3 by time:
Thompson 4:21, Tancredo 5:43, Paul 5:51

That's almost 3 times as much between McCain and Thompson while Ron Paul is certainly not being give much time to speak.

Ron Paul's policies would be extremely harsh and damaging to the poor - many of them would die - you know, those downtrodden people who cannot speak in here becaus they cannot afford computers and internet access. ...many of them, the elderly, the handicapped, the terminally ill, and children.

I also think privatizing everything is insane. Do you guys really want every public service to be privatized? Do you really want Haliburton handling all of our public services? That's should scare anyone.

HOWEVER, I do not doubt his sincerity and devotion to the constitution - and for that alone, I would support him - especially since our country is in deep-deep trouble right now. If we get another Bush - FASCISM will have it's so claws deep that we may never stop them. If it's not too late already.

Ron Paul for president!

the4thwallOn Iran, From an American Iranian
I have an Iranian background, so throughout my life I've been bombarded with opinions on the country. Not only that, both my parents were involved in the late 70's revolution, and saw youth that helped Khomeini get to power being shot down by Khomeini's followers afterwards. That's the problem with revolutions, sometimes a power vacuum can destroy what could be a beautifull transformation. On top of that, I have dual citizen ship, and voted in the last election, whi...

KhramHappy Canada Day!
Today is the day the greatest nation that ever existed on Earth began 142 years ago. Canadians have much to be proud of. However, even the greatest nation on Earth still has its problems. The Russians threaten our airspace with their shitty planes and violate our sovereign waters with their submarines up in the Arctic. We should be shooting their planes down and sinking their subs as they cross our borders without warning. None of our politicians have the balls to at...
