i'll wait till late this year to upgrade to 64-bit dual core cpu..it will go way down by then..and just in time for the new windows!

Vista is going to be both 32bit and 64bit, the betas are already. Vista is definitely overrated, I didn't buy a nice computer to have most of the resources used by the Operating System. I'll wait until Service Pack 1, nLite the iso, and dualboot.

Vista is shit and is XP with a pretty cover. It will still crash, be slow and unreliable.

Switch to Mac!!!

I have Windows XP with an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+, Radeon x1900xtx and it never crashes you newbie.

Ooh, the Apple lovers are already out. Vista is actually a completely reworked OS, and is very different than XP. I've never had XP crash on me, and I think it's a very good OS. OSX isn't bad either, but I like the flexability of the PC still.

I doubt I'll upgrade to Vista, though. Probably wait until I get a new comp in a year or so.

If you actually read what Microsoft is putting into Vista, and look at it's features, it's quite impressive. The transparency and the look of it is the last reason I would upgrade to it. I doubted Vista was going to be anything of worth, but after reading up on it, I was sold.
