China's massive growth has some American businesses quite worried. What's going on? I particularly like The McChina flag.

Here is the article, it's quite short and a little hard to find :

"Let me tell you man: Since I have started to work for a Chinese company, I constantly hear about dirt that those evil Chinese people come up with. Right now, those filthy wrongdoers have distributed around 900 000 tubes of toothpaste containing a poisonous chemical here on our precious and free-of-junk land.

About three months ago, if you can recall, the Chinese (again) have distributed tainted pet food that has killed at least 16 cats and dogs in the United States, sickened 12,000 and prompted a nationwide recall. Those scumbags wanted to kill our pets with a form of melanin that has been "inadvertently" dropped in the puppies food. What is that all about?

As I said, I work for a Chinese company, and if there's something I noticed, it is that Chinas growth bothers a lot of people. I am not talking here about John Doe who's a high school drop out and blames it on the Chinese for stealing his talent. China is inevitably turning into a world leader (again), a fact that itches American corporations, as well as India, who focused on IT business to develop their infrastructures.

American corporations don't like the Chinese 'cause they aren't sharing their money to invest on American soils (analysts say they saving up for future use). They can be angry, because Chinese are very-well interested in investing in Europe, so if they don't in the States, where's the problem originating from?

Indian corporations don't like the Chinese, 'cause just like them, the Chinese are growing through outsourcing services: Even though Tata is heavily investing in China, its Ceo always take the opportunity of an interview with Forbes or with some other conservative media to talk dirty about its neighboring country. China launched in 1986 the Venus program, a government's initiative to boost investment in the field of IT. Today, even though no major Chinese leader emerged from China, the Chinese IT scene is getting impressive.

My opinion is: a consortium of like-minded business ceos launched their lobbying group, targeting the press mainly, to publish dirt story about China on a regular basis. I mean, McDonalds has poisoned everybody in this country, and the potato comes from Idaho, not China. Still, nobody gives a crap. But the Chinese mistakenly distribute a poisoned toothpaste that killed nobody, and the story front-pages the New York Times. Please!

Therefore, I have an advice for the Chinese government: marketing and advertising, guys. Your flag is red and yellow? That's a good start. Shape the round like an M and drop some stupid tagline that stupid consumers will memorize and execute like I'm loving it. That's what I call acculturation right there. Next mistake you guys make, people will be scandalized for a day and will start eating your junk again as soon as the day after."

The poisoness products from China epidemic shouldn't happen again because the guy in charge of making sure products are safe in China was executed for doing a shitty job and taking bribes.

I'd say a "fear" of china is very real. Not even military wise. China is responsible for 60% of all product recalls.

Indeed, I've never understood the whole "Go China!" attitude, its litterally a friggin dictatorship where censorship of the masses and corruption of gov't is everywhere. People bitch and whine about the U.S but according to amnesty international thousands of people disappear in China everyyear.
China intervention in the last decade has directly led too the a death toll in Darfur that dwarves the American caused causalities in Iraq.

I swear people find their champions in some of the most fucked up places, China, Venezuela. What next? North Korea?

Now, before I go any further let me make the observation that I shall not follow the title nor the description of this piece. As much as needs be served by a common comma.  Or a stripe begging for another one.  In my journeys, as seldom as they are, I have found a common virtue.  That virtue is a simple pattern...
