@dockwats

I know exactly where those ads are coming from- sharpadverts.com. As I've said earlier- I have that site blocked in my Hosts file, and I haven't seen the ad once. Here's a screenshot to help you identify the problem.

annoying as fuck - why is it here?

I stopped even coming to shoutwire for a bit, I can imagine a lot of people doing the same, I mean it's alright maybe on the front page, but every time you click a link, for fucks sake

switch to Mozilla and then block the sites through your browser and if you have a router that lets you block pages, do that too.

Shoutwire is a business kids, and a business needs to make money. if the ads are'nt there, your favorite little ranthole will be gone very quickly. tubearoo will not host a site that is costing them money. bandwith costs money, the hostname costs money.

i swear, too many freaking children here with no future, and no sense of the value of money. if you don't like the ads you can always LEAVE

ShoutWire was a damn good website before this new owner took it over, why do you think he even wanted to buy it? Not because it was a piece of shit.

But now he's turning this site into a piece of shit thanks to all this god damn advertising, if there is one good way to alienate your user base, it's to terrorise them with advertising.

God I hate these pop ups and ad words. Drivecleaner is the worst thing of all. It's bloody malware.

This site once was for the users, now the users are told go fuck yourself, we need to commercialise this.

If you are using firefox AND have adblock plus and still get the popups then you better get your ass over to rick752's page and subscribe to easylist and easyelement:

Yeah I use Firefox with Adblock plus as well and it works but as someone said in an earlier post they still load and Firefox has to block them...which takes time and since money seems to be the all important thing here "Time is Money" with that said the more users that get winfixer malware and waiting on ads to be blocked/load the less users shoutwire will have :( Sucks because I love the site and yes I understand it is a "business" there are other ways to go about it. Text ads,embedded ads not forced down your fucking throat ads,browser hijackers and popups....

FTW down with the popups!
