Yes, you read correctly. i said to stop bashing religion.
Now go to the commenting section and post some flaming comment en then come back so you can read why i am saying you have to stop bashing religion. Dont worry, i will wait.
There are many reliogions out there, Hinduism,Boedism,Christianity etc (1). And there are a lot of people following them(2).
Most of these people are normal, they go to work, sport, play games, have sex etc(3).
There are many kinds of people that believe, there is the one persons that goes to church every second he can and there is the guy that thinks that there is 'something'out there.
But there is one thing that unites them, theire belief in something higher, something more then this lifetime. And as long they dont force their own beliefs on someone, its just fine.
Then there are people who force their belief to somewone else. And start judging people that think different.
That's when the problem starts. Before you know it there are jesus camps and suicidal people everywere.
But that is not becouse of the religions themselfs, its the people.
Yes, there are violont texts in many relgion books. Lukily most of the religion people chose not to follow these.
And what if one day there are no religus people around. The world would still be a shitty place. People will still try to force their own thinking to other people. People will still judge people on something.
As long somewone has reviewd all the options in life, balanced the arguments against or for religion. And then comes to the conclusion there must be 'something'out there and lives happily.
Whats the problem with that??
I prefure a peron that reflects opun his own thinking and comes to the conclusion that there must be something. Than a person that is a athiest, just becouse everyone else is.
