Obama's blowing it by paying off companies who blew it, with his citizens future. The hard working Taxpayers didn't cause this mess, incompetent companies combined with the overspending Democrats and Republicans did. Solution; reverse course! Stop over spending and let the incompetent companies go bankrupt. That way competent companies can move in and take their place.

i totally agree that hedge funds, investment banks, and evil speculators should be allowed to fold over and die.

the unpayable toxic assets should go, not the local branches of banks that customers have deposits in.

Risk vs reward. Every single person who goes into business large or small knows this. There should absolutely not be bailouts. I can't see how the government rewards piss poor performance with billions of tax payer money, meanwhile when the tax payer's small business fails they are shit out of luck. Conversely if it does well they are taxed into oblivion.

Bad businesses should be allowed to fail so better ones take their place. Bail outs (unless for very unusual circumstances) is putting good money in bad spots.
