dude wars cost money, you can't expect him not to ask for money. the only thing is that ... if they spend half of what they spend in iraq into afghanistan, the reputation of NATO would skyrocket from the success.

Money does not equal success in a counter-insurgency. Legitimacy is the ultimate decider, and we are an illegitimate force to the Afghan people as we're all foreigners. The many splinter groups that comprise "The Taliban" hold more legitimacy with the local populations because they come from them.

More hypocrisy from the Obama camp. Obama campaigned on talking points about why we are spending 10 billion a month in Iraq and now he asks for 83 billion. How long before the liberals call him Bush III.

The death penalty is a constant source of controversy in the United States, one of the last industrialized countries to keep the practice legal, and the only one to regularly kill people (Japan and South Korea have a de-facto moratorium on capital punishment). In fact, five countries are responsible for 95% of all executions worldwide: China, Iraq, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and the US. Not great company, to say the least. Somewhere around fifty people are killed in th...
