Not sure if I'm happy with the huge graphic on the main page...seems too busy for my liking. Not to say it should be bland like Google, but Google's simplicity makes a statement: This is what it is.

As for the image search, waaaaay nicer having a large number of images available on one page. However, I found that it took a while to load all the previews.

Should be interesting to see if it floats or sinks...I am too tired now to do anything else.

(by the way, Google will be releasing Wave soon...if you don't know what it is, go check it out. Looks cool.)

well being beta i would imagine they still would be adding more hardware to the system to speed stuff up in the future

regarding the main page, its a nice change and apparently shows something different everyday also is meant to show info if you mouse over it, but i cant get that to work atm :(

for the lazy this is a description of wave

google_wave.html

sounds interesting, but dont social network much or wiki, or IM so massive meh

edit:
actually watching the thing google has on its site, that seems pretty impressive
wave.google.com watch from about 6 minutes in to skip the crap

i tested a few search results and from my experience i found the following things genitive with Bing

first off it its spell check is inferior to google's, often not seeing mispelled words or suggesting words that i left a single letter out for words that are diffrent in all way (digger, i typed diger and it gave me digest)

secondly its massively censored compared to google even with all of its safe features off, in fact i was able to access more explicit material with googels moderate safe search then with theirs deactivated, this wasnt just things in the "sex" category, i also searched for graphic picture in categories that involve gore, i searched for websites that may add in area of knowledge of armature explosives.

the site has features that may have some things over on google, but overall at its current stage the results your getting are not unbiased and the core services are unpolished, until they fix their engine to run at A) the most neutral state possible and B)deliver a better search results then its rival i see no point in using this service

pros
if your very specific in your criteria you may find a result a page or two early
allows customization on viewed results
less adds
bing window

cons
website graphics seem to be over the top
search results censored
core services slightly below par
non specific criteria yields in mixed results.
automatically displays results for misspelled words(a real pain when your word isnt misspelled)

(i used 20 different misspelled words from one letter to phonetics Google was able to match more with what i was looking for, i used 10 different descriptions of websites with each search engine coming in even on finding the site i wanted within one page, videos/pictures were all searched for both specifically and vaguely with google supply many time more and bing either warning me that my search would yield explict materials or would give me unrelated things (like pictures of boats) overall google did not out perform bing buy a landslide, but bing seems to carry that big corperation feel to it.)

yer i have noticed that as well, but to provide almost the same level of results as google (how old now?) in a beta stage looks promising but till then will keep google as my home page

I think considering it's a new engine it has quite relevant search results, we will see, we have heard a lot of promising reviews of Cuil too and where are they nowadays?

Now, before I go any further let me make the observation that I shall not follow the title nor the description of this piece. As much as needs be served by a common comma.  Or a stripe begging for another one.  In my journeys, as seldom as they are, I have found a common virtue.  That virtue is a simple pattern... But all seize it, and all know it well.  For it is the definition before the act.  It is why and who and when and that t...
