this toilet breathing device would be useless if the property had septic tanks instead of a sewage connection.

the toilet things usefulness is apparent when you think that the safest place to be if you were trapped in a house fire would be in the toilet/bathroom with the door closed. Many toilets do not have a window.

But still even with a device such as this your chances of survival in a raging inferno would still be slim, there is still the heat and the flames to contend with.

I do like the idea of your fire proof hose though. Any device that could improve the chances of survival is not a bad thing. I certainly wouldn't mind having one handy.

^ Avoid how? that is the answer. Jesus they even have fireproof blankets and clothes these days it REALLY isnt a problem. The only problem might be with it heating up the air you are trying to breathe although if you are constantly using it with fresh air flowing through it it shouldnt be a problem. Some form of insulation could also be used on the hose. You'd want to have a valve on it to so you can only breathe IN through it so dumb asses dont try to breath out through it.
