Because most Americans are too busy taking care of kids, working to pay bills, and mostly doing their own thing.

Those of us that would like to start a revolution are too spread out to get organized.

Here's some reasoning as to why it hasn't happened:

1. Some of us have children. We are no longer farmers, but pay for our food from a store. If there was a revolution, how would my children eat after what's at home ran out?

2. Those that don't have children, are single, and probably live at home just don't care. How would their paladin get the epic mount if he left the server?

3. The hippies. Because of their mentality, which is becoming known as the feminization of man, people don't want to get their hands dirty. They'd rather someone else do the work. After all, it was the feminists and hippies that destroyed personal responsibility.

4. The smart ones, the ones that could actually make a difference even from the sidelines, have already been bought by companies and kept busy and blind and financially fat. Not too mention that through their own work ethics, they became unconcerned for the population. They're taught to make their "work" priority number one.

Were' taught to focus on the micro economics rather than having a larger, wider world view.

tl;dr we're pigeon holed.

I guess Thomas Jefferson and George Washington and the rest of the founding fathers waited to have kids until after the Revolution war.

Dude, when did a revolution become convenient? If you have kids, you should be off your ass NOW and doing something as you are raising them up in a country that will be in such massive debt they will be paying it off for the rest of their lives.

EDIT: I'd like to mention a little known fact about the Revolutionary War, one that doesn't make it in the text books much (wonder why). One of the MAIN reasons for the Revolutionary War was in reaction to the Currency Act of 1764 which gave the Central Bank of England control of the colonies currency.

Frice, you call me a tard and "the epitomy of a ignorant American" yet you don't understand that women think differently then men. Women, for the most part, think with emotions. Women have become a huge influence in our laws, education, and overall daily lives. Most women don't like violence, thus anything violent is bad. Anything that could be used in a violent way gets banned. And it's not just the US, didn't Germany just ban paintball because of school violence? Guess who's leading the charge behind that. And, if you think about it just a little, you'd realize that all those hippies from the sixties preaching peace, love, and happiness are all in positions of power running the show.

Immaculate, you just restated what I said. I think you're agreeing with me. You use the Westboro Baptist Church as an example, but it's a bad one. They have the right to protest what ever they want, but even you have to admit that calling fallen soldiers, people who were only following orders from higher up, "fagots who should burn in hell" is wrong. I guess if you really hate Americans then it's funny and the "in" thing to do.

A better example would be the NRA. They've been talking about how taking away guns from citizens weakens the will of the nation. Tell me, how should the American people revolt when they're weapons are sticks and stones while the opposition has 50 round automatic assault rifles, full riot gear, and heavy artillery. Seems like a one sided fight to me.

As for "standing by", well, yeah. I was indoctrinated with the whole "American dream" propaganda. I wanted to have a home, a family, and a good paying and fulfilling career. It put me to sleep for a long time. I'm awake now and talking to others who think the same, something needs to be done. Unfortunately there's hundreds of miles separating all of us and we're not sure how to continue.

Most protests begin at colleges, but trying to start a governmental overthrow at one is like trying to get a vegan to eat a steak.

So tell me, Frice, Immaculate, how should we start a revolution? Should I, by myself, try to storm the state house or maybe even the White House with a stick?

@Thai. Dude, what? No one voted Bush in. That was just a show, a farce, if you will. And Gore conceded BEFORE all the numbers were in. Kinda makes me wonder what else he would've prematurely give up to. As for the 2nd election, Kerry is just a horrible person anyways. He has no will of his own, nor spine, nor thought. If you thought Bush was bad, Kerry would've been a helluva lot worse.

Wait what? I'm America and Americans ARE dumb. I think you just proved it. All of your college degrees and properties won't matter when there's inflation, then the economy blows up. Guess what? China will want payments and when we can't pay our payments they will come seize property.
